Moe’s Southwest Grill Staten Island Grand Opening

Staten Island, NY (November 11, 2013) – “Welcome to Moe’s!” will soon be heard throughout Staten Island when Moe’s Southwest Grill opens at 262 Arden Avenue on Thursday, Nov. 14.

“We are excited to open yet another Moe’s to make it even easier for Staten Islanders to get our fresh, made-to-order meals in a fun and family-friendly environment,” said Franchise Partner Joe McAllister.

McAllister opened the first Staten Island Moe’s Southwest Grill back in 2006 and after finding much success with the Hyland Boulevard location, decided to open a second restaurant on Arden Avenue.

Ranked #1 Mexican food concept by Technomic in 2013, Atlanta based Moe’s Southwest Grill’s serves fresh made-to-order burritos and southwest fare in a fun and laid back environment. All meals, including signature items like the Homewrecker burrito, Close Talker salad and John Coctostan quesadilla, are served with free chips and salsa. While Moe’s is best known for its burritos packed with a choice of over 20 fresh ingredients, the menu also features kid’s, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-friendly options.

Guests can also try the new Coca-Cola Freestyle® soda fountain. The sleek, stylish new fountains are touch screen operated, enabling consumers to select from more than 100 regular and low-calorie beverage brands – including more than 70 diet, low-calorie and 90 caffeine-free beverages, 80+ unique brands offered nowhere else, as well as many varieties of waters, sports drinks, lemonades and sparkling beverages that, prior to the arrival of Coca-Cola Freestyle, were not available in the U.S.

This location will offer a Joey Tuesday special which includes any burrito, chips and salsa and a 22 oz. drink for only $6.49. Kid’s Eat Free Day on Wednesdays from 5 p.m. to close with the purchase of an adult entrée.

Moe’s Southwest Grill Staten Island Hosts 9/11 Memorial Blood Drive on Sept. 4

Popular Fast-Casual Burrito Joint Partners with NY Blood Center;
Gives Away Free Entree to Blood Donors on September 4 

Staten Island, NY (August 19, 2013) – Moe’s Southwest Grill will once again honor 9/11 victims by partnering with New York Blood Center (NYBC) to host their annual blood drive at 2397 Hylan Blvd on Wednesday, September 4. When donors give a pint of blood, they will receive a free entrée from Moe’s.

Staten Island Borough President James P. Moinaro works with NYBC to organize drives among local businesses and community organizations; last year they set a goal to collectively raise 275 pints of blood in remembrance of the 275 Staten Islanders who lost their lives in the attacks against the U.S on September 11, 2001. The goal was far surpassed, with 668 donors giving a pint of ”life”, encouraging them to aim even higher this year.

“With the outpouring of support we received last year, I’m confident the community can come together to raise more than 700 pints,” said Moe’s Franchise Partner and local Staten Islander Joe McAllister. “It is a cause close to my, and much of Staten Island’s heart, and a great opportunity for me and the Moe’s team to help contribute and save lives while honoring those who lost theirs in 9/11.”

NY Blood Center will be at the Staten Island Moe’s Southwest Grill between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET. Donors must be at least 16 years of age, weigh 110 pounds or more, bring photo identification and eat or drink something before donating. After donating one pint of blood, guests will receive a coupon to receive one free entrée from Moe’s – a burrito, stack, salad or quesadilla – to be used at any time.
