Moe’s Southwest Grill Opens in Syracuse, NY

-Popular fast-casual burrito joint opens in Syracuse, NY today-

Syracuse, NY (March 24, 2011) – “Welcome to Moe’s!” will soon be heard throughout the Syracuse neighborhood when Moe’s Southwest Grill opens at 3409 Erie Blvd. East on Thursday, March 24. A Gold Award winner of the 2008 Consumer’s Choice in Chains Awards, Atlanta based Moe’s Southwest Grill’s serves fresh made-to-order burritos and southwest fare in a fun and laid back environment.

This Moe’s Southwest Grill will be the sixth for Southwest Grill of New York, LLC which plans to open a total of ten Moe’s locations in New York.

The new Syracuse Moe’s will offer Moe Monday all day every Monday at which customers can enjoy a burrito, chips, salsa and a drink for only $5.00. ATLANTA, Ga. (March 21, 2011) – Moe’s Southwest Grill introduces flavors that will rock your taste buds with the new Spicy Trio available for a limited time.  

Moe’s new Spicy Queso and Jalapeno Sour Cream are the featured ingredients of the Spicy Burrito, Quesadilla and Rice Bowl. The contrasting sensation of the cool sour cream with the fiery jalapeno adds a bold twist to this hot new menu item. 

The Spicy Queso, which features the smoky chipotle flavor of Moe’s Hard Rock n Roll Sauce combined with its famous Queso, can now be enjoyed as a side item with any meal in addition to the Spicy Trio.

“As consumer flavor preferences evolve, we’re seeing more and more people gravitate toward spicier menu items,” explains Joel Bulger, vice president of marketing from Moe’s Southwest Grill. “Offering these hot flavors in the burrito, quesadilla and rice bowl formats allows guests to create a variety of tasty combinations.”

In addition to the Spicy Queso and Jalapeno Sour Cream, guests choose from all natural, cage and hormone free chicken, grass-fed sirloin steak, grain-fed, slow cooked pulled pork that’s hormone- and steroid-free or organic tofu to create the Spicy Trio.

Charlotte, NC (March 18, 2011) – Moe’s Southwest Grill 10 Charlotte-area locations are teaming up with local YMCA’s to offer $1.99 Joey Junior burritos all day on Wednesday, March 23. One dollar from each burrito sold will be donated back to Charlotte-area YMCA’s for their community outreach programs.

Last year, Moe’s Southwest Grill raised more than $12,500 for local area schools. The charity event with the YMCA is another way for Moe’s to get more involved with the community and to give back.

“Moe’s is very excited about the YMCA $1.99 Burrito Day,” said Bryan Connelly, Moe’s Southwest Grill Charlotte Cooperative president. “YMCA’s are an important fixture in the lives of many Charlotte-area residents and we are honored to give back to an organization that directly affects the community we live in.
