PENSACOLA, Fla. – Dec. 17, 2013 – “Welcome to Moe’s!” will soon be heard more frequently on the streets of Pensacola when Moe’s Southwest Grill® opens at 7175 North Davis Highway on Wednesday, Dec. 18. Located in the new University Town Plaza Shopping Center just south of I-10, this is the second Moe’s in Pensacola owned by franchisee Eddie Webster. Webster, who has been a franchise partner with Moe’s for ten years, runs Webster Hospitality Management with his son Blake and daughter-in-law Theresa, both of Pensacola.
Opening day will present a great opportunity for local residents, University of West Florida (UWF) students and faculty and community business leaders to band together for a great cause. For a flat rate of $10, guests can order anything they want on the menu and 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the Student Disability Resource Center (SDRC) at UWF, which promotes disability awareness and builds collaborative networks that provide educational access for students with disabilities. The goal of the SDRC is to empower students with disabilities in their pursuit of educational and career opportunities by assisting in the creation of an inclusive and supportive campus environment that facilitates graduation and participation in the global community.
“We wanted to do something special for the community and for the university here and really get started off on the right foot,” said Webster. “There are some amazing people in Pensacola, and we love what the SDRC at UWF is doing to help disabled students have the same opportunities and amazing college experiences as everyone else. Plus, we can’t wait for more local residents to try the delicious food and experience the fun atmosphere of our restaurants.”
