Leading Southwest Fast-Casual Brand Offering $3 Burritos July 31, Donating Aug. 2 Proceeds to Acres of Hope
Auburn, Calif. – July 28, 2014 – “Welcome to Moe’s!” will soon be heard on the streets of Auburn when Moe’s Southwest Grill® opens at 2150 Grass Valley Highway July 31. The Sacramento-area location marks the brand’s first restaurant in California.
To celebrate the grand opening July 31, Moe’s will offer burritos for $3 all day to guests. And, as a part of the weeklong festivities, Moe’s will host a fundraiser on Saturday, August 2 with 25% of proceeds benefiting Acres of Hope, an organization that provides a safe family environment and a healthy living program for women with children to set the foundation of change and break the cycle of homelessness.
The new Moe’s is owned and operated by restaurant group HKM II, which brings fourteen years of food service experience to the brand. HKM II owns 42 additional restaurant franchise locations across California and Nevada. The group plans to open a second Moe’s Southwest Grill in Roseville in the coming months and plans to develop 18 total locations in the Sacramento region.
“Moe’s has a loyal following across the country and we believe California will also enjoy our fresh, made-to-order food in a one-of-a-kind, family-friendly atmosphere,” said David Mitchell, co-owner of Auburn’s new Moe’s and CFO of HKM II. “We’re eager to open our doors to show Sacramento what we have to offer.”
“Welcome to Moe’s!” is more than a greeting; it’s a way of life for the folks who customize each meal made fresh-to-order in front of every guest. All meals, including signature menu items like the Homewrecker burrito, Close Talker salad and John Coctostan quesadilla, are served with free chips and salsa. While Moe’s is best known for its burritos packed with a choice of more than 20 fresh ingredients, the menu also features kid’s, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-friendly options.
Guests can also try the new Coca-Cola Freestyle® soda fountain. The sleek, stylish new fountains are touch-screen operated, enabling consumers to select from more than 100 regular and low-calorie beverage brands – including more than 70 diet or low-calorie and 90 caffeine-free beverages, 80-plus unique brands offered nowhere else, and many varieties of waters, sports drinks, lemonades and sparkling beverages that, prior to the arrival of Coca-Cola Freestyle, were not available in the U.S.
Ranked the No. 1 Mexican food concept by leading research group Technomic in 2013, Atlanta-based Moe’s Southwest Grill serves fresh, made-to-order burritos and southwest fare in a fun and laid-back environment.
Moe’s in Auburn will be open Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. For more information, call 530-885-6637, or visit the Moe’s of Northern California Facebook page and www.moes.com.
