Popular fast-casual burrito joint opens on April 18, Donates 15% Sales to Navy Marine Corp Relief Society
Groton, CT (April 18, 2013) – “Welcome to Moe’s!” will soon be heard throughout Groton when Moe’s Southwest Grill opens at Groton Square Shopping Plaza 220 Route 12 on Thursday, April 18. Fifteen percent of sales from that day will be donated to Navy Marine Corp Relief Society, a private non-profit organization just down the street from Moe’s that provides financial, educational, and other assistance to members of the Naval Services of the United States. This will be franchise partners Matt Rusconi and David Vorchheimer’s sixth Moe’s in Connecticut.
“We hope to experience the same warm reception at Groton that we received at our Waterford location,” said Rusconi. “Giving back to the community, who we truly enjoy partnering with, is simply part of our operations model.”
