Moe’s Southwest Grill Opening First Location in Midtown Little Rock

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Nov. 18, 2013 – “Welcome to Moe’s!” will soon be heard in the heart of Little Rock when Moe’s Southwest Grill® opens at Park Plaza Mall on Thursday, Nov. 21, which is located in the Midtown neighborhood at the intersection of Markham and University. This is the fifth Moe’s in central Arkansas owned by franchisees Melanie and Thos Hoggard.

The Hoggards have been with Moe’s Southwest Grill since 2003 and opened their first restaurant in October 2004. Owners of three independent tanning salons in the area for 22 years, Melanie and Thos fell in love with the Moe’s concept when they visited Atlanta while looking for new business opportunities. They currently own and operate four other Moe’s locations in central Arkansas – West Little Rock, North Little Rock, Bryant and Conway. Furthermore, the husband-and-wife duo recently signed a four-store deal to expand into northwest and northeast Arkansas over the next three years.

“Moe’s has a growing presence in Arkansas and I’m excited for our continued expansion in the Little Rock area,” said Melanie Hoggard. “Park Plaza Mall is the perfect place for our newest Moe’s addition and we can’t wait for more local residents to try the delicious food and experience the fun atmosphere of our restaurants.”

“Welcome to Moe’s!” is more than a greeting; it’s a way of life for the folks who customize each meal fresh-to-order in front of every guest. All meals, including signature menu items like the Homewrecker burrito, Close Talker salad and John Coctostan quesadilla, are served with free chips and salsa. While Moe’s is best known for its burritos, packed with a choice of more than 20 fresh ingredients, the menu also features kid’s, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-friendly options.

Guests can also try the new Coca-Cola Freestyle® soda fountain. The sleek, stylish new fountains are touch-screen operated, enabling consumers to select from more than 100 regular and low-calorie beverage brands – including more than 70 diet or low-calorie and 90 caffeine-free beverages, 80-plus unique brands offered nowhere else, and many varieties of waters, sports drinks, lemonades and sparkling beverages that, prior to the arrival of Coca-Cola Freestyle, were not available in the U.S.

Ranked the No. 1 Mexican food concept by leading research group Technomic in 2013, Atlanta-based Moe’s Southwest Grill serves fresh, made-to-order burritos and southwest fare in a fun and laid-back environment. Moe’s at Park Plaza Mall will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday and from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. For more information, guests may call 501-490-1990 or visit
