Moe’s Southwest Grill Opening New Location in Sumter, S.C.

Leading Southwest Fast-Casual Brand Hosting Pay What You Want Day Fundraiser for Local Nonprofit

Sumter, S.C. (April 1, 2016) – Welcome to Moe’s!® Moe’s Southwest Grill®, the fast-casual restaurant best known for creating craveable burritos to order with fresh, flavorful ingredients, is opening their newest location in Sumter at 1101 Broad Street near Wesmark Plaza. The grand opening will be held on April 8 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

To celebrate the grand opening, the Sumter Moe’s is offering free burritos for a year to the first 100 guests on April 8. The free burritos for a year prize entitles each winner to one burrito per week at the Sumter Moe’s. Guests can also enjoy a Pay What You Want Day fundraiser. All proceeds from the Pay What You Want Day fundraiser will benefit Shaw Youth Programs, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping provide for the educational, social and emotional needs of youth ages 5 to 18 whose parents are stationed at Shaw Air Force Base.

The Sumter Moe’s is owned and operated by franchisees Chris Smith and Steven Taylor who have been with the brand since 2004 and operate 14 additional locations across South Carolina, Georgia and North Carolina.

“We hope that this charitable partnership will help Shaw Youth Programs to further its mission and give our guests the opportunity to learn more about this deserving organization,” said Taylor. “Moe’s has a strong tradition of community support. We feel lucky to be able to continue this tradition in Sumter.”

In addition to free burritos for a year and the Pay What You Want Day fundraiser, the Sumter Moe’s grand opening will feature games, prizes and more.

There are three things Moe’s newbies should know: the crew will cry “Welcome to Moe’s” when you walk in the door (don’t be jolted – it’s normal), the most popular burrito is lovingly called the Homewrecker, and Moe’s Famous Queso is famous for a reason.

Each meal is created-to-order in a way that is as unique as the people Moe’s serves. With honestly good ingredients like all-natural chicken, grass-fed steak, organic tofu and handcrafted guacamole, Moe’s offers a wide variety of options to meet guest’s unique tastes and lifestyle. And no matter the meal, guests can always count on getting free chips and salsa.

Starting April 9, Moe’s in Sumter will be open Sundays through Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and on Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. For more information, guests may call (803) 485-1234 or visit www.moes.com.
