Popular fast-casual burrito joint opens on Aug. 21 with Pay What You Want Day benefitting JDRF
Gainesville, VA – August 18, 2014 – “Welcome to Moe’s!” will soon be heard in Gainesville when Moe’s Southwest Grill® opens at 8148 Stonewall Shops Square, #101 on Thursday, August 21. To celebrate the grand opening, guests will be treated to a Pay What You Want Day where customers make a donation in any amount in exchange for their meal, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefitting JDRF. JDRF is Moe’s national charitable partner and the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes research.
“Residents in the Washington D.C. area have come to love Moe’s and I believe the suburban Gainesville community will also enjoy our fun, family-friendly atmosphere,” said Franchise Partner Frank Maresca. “This grand opening is a great opportunity for us to introduce our quick, fresh, customizable meals to a new community while also giving back to a cause I’ve been personally invested in for many years, along with Moe’s on a national level, having donated more than $500,000 since 2007.”
Moe’s Gainesville is owned and operated by Guac & Roll, LLC, a franchisee group led by partners Brad Chasteen, Frank Maresca and Steve Taylor. The team recently signed a deal to develop a total of 25 stores throughout the D.C. area and this will be the fifth restaurant they’ve opened as a result of this deal thus far.
“Welcome to Moe’s!” is more than a greeting; it’s a way of life for the folks who customize each meal made fresh-to-order in front of every guest. All meals, including signature menu items like the Homewrecker burrito, Close Talker salad and John Coctostan quesadilla, are served with free chips and salsa. While Moe’s is best known for its burritos packed with a choice of more than 20 fresh ingredients, the menu also features kid’s, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-friendly options.
Ranked the No. 1 Mexican food concept by leading research group Technomic in 2013, Atlanta-based Moe’s Southwest Grill serves fresh, made-to-order burritos and southwest fare in a fun and laid-back environment. Guests can also try the new Coca-Cola Freestyle® soda fountain. The sleek, stylish new fountains are touch-screen operated, enabling consumers to select from more than 100 regular and low-calorie beverage brands – including more than 70 diet or low-calorie and 90 caffeine-free beverages, 80-plus unique brands offered nowhere else, and many varieties of waters, sports drinks, lemonades and sparkling beverages that, prior to the arrival of Coca-Cola Freestyle, were not available in the U.S.
